NBA 2K15 Roster Analysis 11/3/14
PLAYER RATING / BADGE EDITS
MKG has shown improved touch on his shot after working all summer with Mark Price. He's my early candidate for the NBA's Most Improved Player, as this was the fatal flaw in his game.
Favors scored 32 points in only 30 minutes of action in a 27-point blowout win over the Suns.
2K has already edited five Jazz players in-season which probably matches their total from the last ten years combined. That's only a minor exaggeration.
As mentioned with yesterday's roster update, Gay is playing like a max guy for once, and he is still the only player to see an adjustment to their mid-range rating (Klay Thompson is the only other player to see a change to a non-3pt shot rating).
With the Lakers strapped for talent, he's in line for a big year. He'll be the second highest rated Laker by seasons end (he'll probably deserve the top spot over Kobe, who is doing his best 40-year old Jordan impression, but 2K will never let that happen).
If Johnson can keep it up, he'll actually DESERVE to make the All-Star team for a change.
Miles Plumlee (Suns)
This is one way of showing people you deserve your max contract.
Steve Kerr has already sold me as the coach of this team by virtue of the fact that he is not Mark Jackson, whose offensive schemes often forgot about anyone not named Stephen Curry.

Jason Maxiell (Hornets)

77 Post Defense (+6)
@CardboardGerald @HPbasketball Maxiell is a great post defender, he's been shutting down Amare throughout the game.

@CardboardGerald @HPbasketball Amare's FG in 2nd was a jumper in screen roll. Maxiell shut his post game down & Knick shooters went cold.

I went at length last night on Twitter about Maxiell's post defense on Amare Stoudemire. It seems I wasn't the only one who noticed. Of course, he'll need more than that to justify playing ahead of Bismack Biyombo.Gordon Hayward (Jazz)
80 Overall (+1)
73 Pass Vision (+7)
Hayward has played well after getting his max deal, but it's not his pass rating I would have gone out of my way to adjust.

74 Post Defense (+10)
55 Defensive Consistency (+10)
I admittedly have not gotten to watch very much basketball over the first week, but it's shocking to see the Kings are 7th in the league defensively with a 2-1 record. I imagine Thompson has been a big part of that. It certainly hasn't been his box score stats getting it done (a big reason why the Kings are only 25th offensively at present).
